Pegasus Arenas
Fencing

We will erect kickboards around the arena using 8’ x 5” x 3” posts or 8’ x 4” machine rounded posts and two 6”x 1 ½” boards. We will fence the arena using 3 x 12’ x 3 ½” x 1 ½ “ rails, and 1 x 12’ wooden gate with 2 x 8” x 8” x 8’ posts.

We would usually use 8’ x 5” x 3” posts or 8’ x 4” machine rounded posts and two 6”x 1 ½” boards. We will fence the arena using 3 x 12’ x 3 ½” x 1 ½ “ rails, and 1 x 12’ wooden gate with 2 x 8” x 8” x 8’ posts.

We could also use ½ round machine edged rails or just fence using kickboards for those that either need to save the expense of the extra cost or do not want their horses to learn only to perform in an arena with sides.

We have also used the natural elements to enclose an arena. Such as a soil bund or a rock face.

We can finish the outside of the fence with wire netting, electric fencing or boards.

Whilst we are on site we can re-fence any paddocks that you may want either with post and rail, pig netting or electric rope.

This photo shows an arena dug into rock. We used the rock on the left hand side and top of the image to form the sides and then covered it with a matting through which in time the grass and other plants will grow. We used round posts and half round rails on the rest of the fencing.

Here we built a track to access the arena from the house. There was a large bank which we then turfed and installed a decorative fence at the top to keep the swimming pool area private and out of the wind.
